Lantra
National Training Organisation Ltd.
REGISTERED TRAINING PROVIDER

Training MidWest Ltd began life as the 'Gloucester Group' in 1984 with just three members.

The Gloucester Group was an Agricultural Training Board Group - just one of a multitude which covered Britain. The change to Training MidWest has happened gradually and positively. Whilst other ATB Groups faded away the Gloucester Group grew, both in strength and geographically, until the present day. Training events are now run internationally as well as locally.

Training MidWest Ltd is registered under the Industrial and Provident Society Act 1965 which means that every one of its members owns one share. A board of voluntary, elected directors takes responsibility for policy making. Lorna Bain, Company Secretary, takes responsibility for the day to day co-ordination of activities. Again, a large amount of her work is done on a voluntary basis.

Members/Clients range in size from the one-man-bands right up to multi-national companies. The quality of training and support is guaranteed by registration with Lantra National Training Organisation Ltd.

Membership for the first year costs £66.66 plus VAT. The first payment covers membership up to 31st January of the year following acceptance of your membership. All subsequent years  cost £40.00 plus VAT (please note that these costs will possibly change.)  The payment is per business - not per person. On payment of your first subscription your business will receive one share certificate in Training MidWest Ltd. From then on every single person involved in your business is entitled to a 40% discount on the cost of training courses attended. Being non-profit orientated, the cost of courses varies : each one is costed - then that cost is divided by the number attending.

Training takes place in, or on, members' premises, and a great deal of 'in-house' training is organised. Training is arranged whenever feasible, at a time of year, day of week - and even hour of day - convenient to you!

We specialise in 'one-to-one' individual training packages. An in depth training analysis is completed to plan exactly what you need - and this plan can be accomplished either on a residential, continuous basis (accommodation ranges from a country house hotel with four posters through to farm houses - again, the choice is yours!) - or in a very informal way which may be spread out over any length of time. You and your needs are our priority. Wherever possible, - we fit in with you - there is no complicated time-tabling which means you don't have to fit in with term-time only training.

In other words, Training MidWest delivers

grown up courses for grown up people!
